Dr Karl’s Klimate Krap…

More Klimate Krap

Dr Karl is on a krappy Krusade… to keep the warming scare going.

Rusted-on warmists like Dr Karl have invested so much emotional energy in their substitute religion that when the evidence no longer fits their theory, they just, er,  ignore the evidence. It’s tragic to see a supposed “scientist” in such a confused state of cognitive dissonance:

In general, scientists are a pretty mild and inoffensive bunch. But over the last decade, one specific group of scientists has come in for a lot of criticism. So let’s dive into the topic of ‘the pause in global warming’.

In the USA, the Wall Street Journal wrote, “temperatures have been flat for 15 years – nobody can properly explain it.”

Another newspaper from the same stable, the UK Daily Mail wrote “global warming ‘pause’ may last 20 more years, and Arctic sea ice has already started to recover”. Both of these statements are very reassuring, but unfortunately, very very wrong.

With regard to this ‘pause’, there are two major claims made by those who deny the science of climate change.

The first one is that the climate is actually cooling – not warming. This is incorrect.

The second claim is that after some previous warming, the global climate is now constant, and neither warming nor cooling. In other words, that the climate is in a kind of holding pattern, or haitus. This is also incorrect.

You can read the rest here, but quite frankly, save your time. Rather than accept that something is going on that the models failed to predict, Dr Karl would rather stick his fingers in his ears and shout “La, la, la!” Pretty much like the ABC in general, really…

  1. Graham Ellis says:

Prof J S Miller would be shaking his head

  2. Deny, deny, deny. Good advice when caught cheating!

  3. Of course he has to toe the ABC line and recite the mantra. If he doesn’t he will be out of work like David Bellamy.

  4. Geoff Sander says:

I would like to see a chart comparing atmospheric CO2 levels with temperatures, or some other data to support a direct relationship between the two. If increasing CO2 levels result in higher temperatures, it should be fairly easy to show the relationship. The old “hockey stick” chart was purported to achieve this, but was debunked, as it was not following correct math protocol. If a direct relationship exists, it is strong evidence of AGW, without it AGW is just a flawed theory.

  5. I used to enjoy listening to Dr Karl’s radio shows and even read some of his books. On radio, it was refreshing to hear him admit quite often “I don’t know. Do we have an expert in the field listening that can answer this question”? It’s a shame he has totally trashed his reputation by hitching himself completely to the AGW wagon.

  6. Krudd Gillard of the Commondebt of Australia says:

He is just a sock puppet who has been told by his neo-Gillardian paymasters at the AlpBC that he must take a correct non-deviationist line at this critical time.

  7. “Dr Karl would rather stick his fingers in his ears and shout “La, la, la!” Pretty much like the ABC in general, really…” Nothing more needs to be said, what a shame that a fine mind has sold out to a lie, and he knows it. N

    • Dr Karl seems to be very flaky these days, seems to be rambling on and quickly changing tack when he talks about anything, Sad. N

  8. So why are we continuing to pay this mob?
    PM: Hello???

  9. Who was it who said that science advances one funeral at a time? (Meaning, I suppose, that you cannot really change the minds of prominent scientists but sooner or later that no longer matters) Blog entries like this bring that observation to mind…

  10. He then backs up his argument tho . Why didnt you quote his supporting evidence along with his claim? Seems like your taking it out of context a bit mate

  11. I’ve heard Dr Karl on TV and radio talking about dangerous man-made global warming and climate change. He closely identifies with the global warming alarmists.

My view… he is seriously delusional, and his views on climate change indicate he probably suffers form psychosis.

  12. A physics-based equation, with only two drivers (both natural) as independent variables, explains measured average global temperatures since before 1900 with 95% correlation, calculates credible values back to 1610, and predicts through 2037. The current trend is down.

Search “AGWunveiled” for the drivers, method, equation, data sources, history (hind cast to 1610) and predictions (to 2037).
