According to the datasets used last year, October 1st will mark the 18th year of “no significant warming trend in surface average temperature,” says Patrick Michaels, director of the Cato Institute’s Center for the Study of Science.
And even if the current 18-year trend were to end, it would still take nearly 25 years for average global temperature figures to reflect the change, said Michaels, who has a Ph.D. in ecological climatology and spent three decades as a research professor of environmental sciences at the University of Virginia. While we wait for oceans to turn acidic (utter crap) I truly think that is why half of the alarmists believe the above! I say apart from recovering from “hypothermia” & enrolling in a course in Thermodymanics 101 there is no hope for them! Climate Change is real, no question been happening for millions of years BUT Anthropogenic Global Warming has been slowly dropped from alarmists rhetoric everything is now Catastrophic Climate Change!
Some advice for them stop adjusting data & moving thermometers, declare your models have “catastrophically” failed & stop blaming every extreme weather event as being caused by Anthropogenic Global Warming when actually cold events are more likely to be associated with extreme weather! Finally, to politicians who have no clue on the science whatsoever stop rhetorical worn out & false statements.

A curious irony is that some people who are 18 years old devote themselves to a ’cause’ that hasn’t actually occurred within their lifetime.
Wouldn’t be the first time, although what makes this one more than a little annoying is that it is supposedly being driven by ‘science’.
It is curious why science has failed here, but it isn’t the first time ‘science’ has been widely misused for a cause though, either. Social Darwinism and eugenics comes to mind.
A good read of where science is misused for a cause is ‘The Mismeasure of Man’ by SJ Gould, which describes 19th-early 20th century eugenics.

And the inconvenient truth that eclipses all, in particular the multi-billion dollar climate model industry, the impoverishing Progressive enviro-apparatchiks and their opportunistic financiers, the totalitarian collective of those bureaucracies most notably of the UN, lining up their shackling edicts and taxations, all of these humanity wrecking conglomerations were incontestably and irrefutably blindsided – completely – by the natural ‘pause’.
