UN's $100bn annual "Green Climate Fund"

What the UN does best…

Global socialism through the back door. With all the carbon tax nonsense going on at home it’s been too easy to ignore the circus of UN climate talks. But with the latest talks concluding in Bangkok, it’s an appropriate time to remind ourselves of the lunacy at the UN.

Most of the news about these talks has been the “feuds” between “rich and poor countries”, and how they struggle even to agree an agenda for further meetings! But sneaked in at the bottom of the Sydney Morning Herald article was this:

A Green Climate Fund was also established that aims to channel $100 billion annually by 2020 from rich countries to help poor nations cope with climate change. (source)

How much of the revenue from Gillard’s carbon tax would be sucked into this fund?

  1. A Green Climate Fund was also established that aims to channel $100 billion annually by 2020 from rich countries to help poor nations cope with climate change.

How is this any different from Juliar’s plan to “tax the big polluters” and “provide compensation to lower-income households”.?

Same model – just on a 1:10 scale.

Canada had better not donate to that scam

  3. Baldrick says:

A little know fact, which got very little publicity at the time, is that Australia has already agreed to help fund this U.N. Green climate fund …

Even if Labor/Greens don’t get their carbon dioxide tax through – Australia is still committed to spend $600 million over the next 3 years into the fund. So carbon tax or not, you’ll still be able to have that warm fuzzy feeling that your taxes will be going to help fund poorer nations combat climate change.

That’s why all the poorer nations love climate change. They get billions from developed countries to line the pockets of politicians and help fund useless and meaningless ‘green’ energies. Let’s not quibble over a few million starving children in the world – climate action is where it’s at!

Having spent several years working in crappy 3rd world countries I can guarantee that any money sent there will be spent on consumables rather than any kind of development. A major item will be luxury cars.

That creep Flannery thinks we should be a bloody global ant colony..

    My God, this guy is….

    UNBELIEVABLE!

How much more evidence do people need to identify the roots of this evil?

  6. This fund was mentioned when Greg Combet was in Cancun last year. Australia agreed in principle to contributing 10% of revenue from any carbon tax/carbon trading scheme. I had a link to it somewhere, but can’t find it now, sorry!

  7. Bryan Harris says:

“Most of the news about these talks has been the “feuds” between “rich and poor countries”,”

That’s only part of the story though.

The UN has been learning from the EU, in that you allow a lot of bluster, but you know at the end of the day the delegates are going to sign something – but lo and behold while the bluster has been in progress, the beadledoms have been busy transcribing the ‘details’ of the agreement…..

It is these details that should concern us as much as anything, because they will tie the knot after each conference just a little tighter, meaning that countries lose their independence on the matters discussed and answer to the UN, with the risk of fines for non-compliance.

Inch by inch, one step closer to the UN being THE world dominant power.

CFACT put it very well, following the conference in Mexico – http://www.cfact.org/ Search on MEXICO

In Particular I’d recommend this link:
http://www.cfact.org/a/1862/The-Cancun-climate-con ……To The Cancun climate con

These damns socialists are all in together, and the UN is a hotbed of EU style corruption, cons and waste.
