Quote of the Day: Julia Gillard

Quote of the Day

She’s been spinning hopeless Labor policies for so long, she has now started spinning her own failures into achievements:

“I’m not going anywhere, I’m the best person to do this job and I’ll continue to do it and what this job is about leading the nation to a better future.”

Well, if she’s the best, I’d truly hate to see the worst. And as for “not going anywhere”, not your decision, I’m afraid. We may well see the Return of Rudd (cue scary music).

Read it here.

Editor’s Note: Apologies but the link above is to The Australian which as we all know is just a mouthpiece for evil right-wingers and Tea Party creationists intent on destroying Labor, and which should be shut down straight away, especially since there isn’t enough bias in the media favourable towards Labor and the Left (if you just happen to exclude all of the ABC and all of Fairfax, and all of the BBC and all of the majority of news organisations in any country you care to name). See here.

  5. Aaron James Duff via Facebook says:

Declare a snap election and she’ll be gone right quick.

I didn’t realize that (per editors note) racist tea party insurrectionist were extant in Oz?

  6. “there will be no carbon tax” NOW “I am not going anywhere”……. basic logic interprets that it is Good bye time to ” the real Julia”….

    • Yes. Sooner or later the electorate will be able to tell her “circumstances have indeed changed”.

  7. the whole left / right false paradigm is something we really need to not buy into at all.

  8. Chris Keating via Facebook says:

    @John: can you expand?

    • bevan pidgeon says:

the concept of left and right wing in politics is nothing but divide and conquer, the fact is that all levels of a society must prosper at the same rate for an economy to suceed.company`s can only be successfull when people have money to spend to buy their products .
have you ever seen a bird with only one wing fly would have to be the original ooh ooh bird flying in ever decreasing circles untill it flies up it`s own backside, hence the name ooh ooh bird

  9. This just arrived in my Inbox, so don’t blame me or News Ltd.

In church on Sunday, I over-heard the lady in the pew next to me saying a short private prayer. It was so sweet and sincere that I just had to share with you.

    “Dear Lord,

This has been a tough 12 months …. You have taken my favorite actor Patrick Swayze, my favorite actress Farrah Fawcett and my favorite musician Michael Jackson.

I just wanted you to know that my favorite Prime Minister is Julia Gillard.”

  10. Mervyn Sullivan says:

Is there no end to the arrogance of this Gillard woman, now blowing her own trumpet? If she really is the best person to run government, all I can say is God help Australia.

At last, we now know why the Rudd government lost its way. It wasn’t because of Kevin Rudd. It was because of this ghastly woman who has not only lost her way, but she is like a ship on an ocean… with no captain, no navigator, no maps, no satellite navigation… just totally lost in an ocean of time.

But what I really detest about this woman is her attempt to undermine confience in, and the authority of, the High Court of Australia by her personal criticism of its Chief Justice. That is disgraceful But then what else could we expect from this woman… there is nothing graceful about her. She is a woman never to be trusted.

  11. John of Cloverdale WA says:

She’s moving forward, on the road to nowhere!

  12. Kateena Kitiyana via Facebook says:

    I think it’s funny how she says she’s not going anywhere as she leads Australia to a better future… hehehe 🙂 f u n n y

  13. I’m not going anywhere, I’m the best person to do this job and I’ll continue to do it

    The Gaddafi syndrome.

  14. Keith Barnett says:

It seems that in her latest burst of arrogance she is emulating Napoleon Bonaparte in every sense.

Especially when he advanced to the rear.

  15. A message for Labor.

    IT’s TIME!

Time to ‘hook’ Gillard from centre stage (however painful that may be)
Time to replace her with someone more credible & sensible
Time to defer the carbon tax until after a mandate is obtained
Time to think about the future of the Labor Party

if Labor wishes to retain any shred of credibility with the electorate it purports to represent.

  16. coffeedrinker says:

I find it strange that for a prime minister that is soo concerned about the environment that under her government they have let the CSIRO run tests in Australia in growing GM wheat. Especially when no other country in the world will allow it. I wonder how much Monsato offered the federal government???

  17. I’m not going anywhere

    It’s only a flesh wound.

  18. If only Gillard did not have to deal with those pesky creatures call backbenchers who in turn have to deal with those even more pesky creatures called voters.

  19. bevan pidgeon says:

It is very dangerous and wrong to consider juliar an incompetent fool ,what she is doing is exactly what she intends to do .The sad part is her agenda is not in the best interest of our nation , there is no doubt she is working hard and is being successfull at it the only question is who she is working for /

  20. If she keeps saying it often enough she might even convince herself. That botox she’s had might be able to hide the worry lines but the body language says it all. Kevin Rudd is going to have the last laugh after all.
