Another classic Hamilton rant on ABC’s The Drum (see here for a previous example). I seriously considered whether to give this [snip] any more oxygen, but then I couldn’t resist. It’s just too funny to pass up:
At last, the ABC has broadcast a program that accurately reflects the debate over climate science.
That is, a program in which a large body of eminent scientists with an overwhelming case built and tested carefully over many years using the best procedures of science meets a politically-motivated coterie of ratbags who manipulate the truth, endlessly repeat falsehoods, harass their opponents and grandstand at every opportunity.
Poor old Hamilton has missed the obvious irony of his desperate ravings, namely that “a politically motivated coterie of ragbags who manipulate the truth, endlessly repeat falsehoods and harass their opponents” is the perfect description of the IPCC.

Clive is a professor of Public Ethics at an institution which should be thoroughly ashamed of his performances. My dog kicks dirt over better public ethical statements than Clive’s every day.
There is not enough hours in a day or days in a month or months in a year to spend one minute on Clive Hamilton.
I had to read that quote twice, because at first I thought it was referring to the climate change Alarmists…! Lol

1) the ABC is Pro-skeptic. Who would have thought that?
2) The idea that there is serious disagreement in some quarters is not true? Is the skeptic side really only one dissenter with a degree in philosophy and an outstanding mental certification order?
3) he knows that the average viewer will not be convinced by his warmist colleagues because he knows a) they are incompetent technically or in rhetoric, or b) the skeptic side has questions that cannot be answered?
I’m impressed. The warmists are in the majority, intellectually superior (as well as being morally so) and doing the right thing and, at the same time, a minority crying in the wilderness, intellectually inferior (though still morally superior), and not able to do the right thing because Dirk Dastardly makes the undecided blink.
Warm-cold. Wet-dry. Calm-storm. Now leading-persecuted, smart-stupid, winning-beaten. And they make money at it. Perhaps the perfect warmist is a stockbroker. He’s already understands how you have to cover all your bases AND submit invoices for doing so.

Clive is a legend. Does anyone apart from the ABC actually take this guy seriously?

I wonder whether someone who is trying to create an impression that there is disagreement, actually does disagree.. or perhaps by some bizarre logic, they really do agree, they’re just trying to create an impression of the exact opposite?

He has also shown that he is pi$$ed about not getting a shoe in as the Green candidate for Higgins last election.

Wow . Just read Professor Clives highly unethical rant. That is one angry old warmist.When did this nutty professor ordain himself such an expert on climate change that he actually writes books on the subject.He then chastises the warmist ridden ABC for not following his directions that no further debate on climate change should be allowed.Clive is obviously one of those warmists who believe it is up to himself personally to save the world from catastrophic climate change like Angry Al Gore , and doesn”t care how many sckeptics he has to insult to do it.

Like most religious zealots, he believes that, if it is repeated in public often enough, the listener will receive it as his own reality. This works only if the the receiver has a native IQ of less than, say, 80. So around 95% of listeners receive his recitation with a piteous, patronising concern reserved for the less fortunate.
