Climate porn: UK Telegraph's Durban "warmgasm"

Opening my RSS feed reader this evening I was sprayed by a fetid stream of climate hysteria from the once reputable UK broadsheet:

Climate porn

All this on the day when Canada dumps Kyoto. Yep, the world is certainly rushing ahead, eh Julia and Greg?

No links. If you’re that desperate, you can find them yourself!

  1. Way too graphic.

    Good for Canada!!

AGW climate change is like masturbation … it causes hair to grow on the palms of your hands ! 😉

  4. I noticed the first one on this list of hypocritcal yoghurt knitters is none other than that scatty old trollop Vivienne Westwood, The overated fashion designer who ships her materials half way around the world from the sweatshops of Asia where slave labour is rife.

  5. @tim enjoyed your terminology in your description of VW…SPOT ON! still, fortunatley, no-one of any significance pays any attention to her…talke about warmists scraping the botton of the barrell…

  6. Got a few hours to kill between conferences whilst in Durban for COP17? Why not try a spot of hunting (complete with COP17 logo) with Robert Mortassagne from Zulinyati Safaris.

Why not shoot a giraffe for only $2,500 or how about a Hippopotamus for the same price. Something a little less expensive perhaps? A zebra will set you back #1,250 or for the more budget conscious how about a Bushpig for $400. Take a look at their trophy fees webpage for whatever takes your fancy. Sorry, but Buffalo, Lion, Leopard, Rhino and Elephant are subject to price on request.

Did somebody mention the WWF would be in Durban for COP17?

  7. Yup, reminds me of the run up to Copenhagen, the ABC were just about peeing themselves with excitement then.

And for those who get their jollies from computer climate modelling, one could call this mathturbation.

  8. Seems the South Africans know how to pull in the big conferences in 2011.

Not only is it the host for the COP17 Climate Change Conference 2011 but how about the UFO Science and Consciousness Conference 2011 25-27 November, in Johannesburg, just a short 1 hour flight from Durban.

Delegates heard from 13 International speakers how the “Earth has become the battleground for extraterrestrials to advance their own political agenda for the future of the planet … All the governments in the world are puppets and instruments to implement the will of a small group of individuals”

Seems COP17 and UFO’s have a lot in common! 😉

  9. STOP THE PRESSES!

Astounding news from COP17 …. COP 17 delegates drink tap water. “When delegates from countries where tap water is not regarded as clean were served water in jugs, they asked whether it was safe to drink.”

Oh! … nevermind. (bottom left corner)

  10. Bill Misselbrook via Facebook says:

I just read the Times article on VW which raises a couple of issues. Her reason for donating money direct to the charity Cool Earth is because of the failure of the World Bank to distribute funds raised to help developing countries. According to the article, only a quarter of money promised by governments has been deposited in the Climate Investment Funds and only 5% has been distributed. Also $600 million has been deposited by 7 countries in the Forest Investment Programme fund but only $15 million has been distributed. So, firstly governments are not honouring their pledges…maybe they have come to their senses or maybe they can’t afford to…and secondly the World Bank seems to be something of a ‘black hole’ as far as the funds go. Is there anyone holding them accountable?

  11. ..and 2nd cab off the rank in Simon’s list is food prices increased by Global Warming. Well, that is true here is Aus, where with no actual evidence our brain-dead leaders have, via the Carbon Dioxide Tax, gauranteed that just the fear of global warming will drive up food prices. Who else is stupid enough to artificially drive up the cost of just about every input to food production, and the distribution costs as well??
