If you thought 'world government' is a conspiracy theory…

World government

To all those smug warmists who crow that those filthy deniers, who claim the climate ‘crisis’ is being used as a convenient socio-political tool to implement a system of world government, are just indulging in crazy conspiracy theories, Scientific American sets us all straight:

Effective World Government Will Be Needed to Stave Off Climate Catastrophe

Human societies must now change course and steer away from critical tipping points in the Earth system that might lead to rapid and irreversible change. This requires fundamental reorientation and restructuring of national and international institutions toward more effective Earth system governance and planetary stewardship.”

“If we are ever to cope with climate change in any fundamental way, radical solutions on the social side are where we must focus, though.”

“To be effective, a new set of institutions would have to be imbued with heavy-handed, transnational enforcement powers.

It’s a little difficult to avoid conclusions about the aim of social re-engineering and world government when it is spelled out so clearly. If you don’t want conspiracy theories to emerge, stop your warmist friends from providing the substance on which they are based – simple.

Before Copenhagen, when Lord Monckton said that the agenda behind Copenhagen was to create a world government, the MSM mocked him.
When Bob Brown told the Press Club that he wanted a one-person-one-vote world government, they let it pass without comment.
Now scientists, in Science Magazine, are acting like politicians and calling for a world government.

  3. Well, it may be “Scientific” but it certainly isn’t American. They will have to rename their publication. I suggest “Scientific Folly”

    Here they come!

  5. They keep H.A.A.R.P.ing on about it, don’t they!

“If you don’t want conspiracy theories to emerge, stop your warmist friends from providing the substance on which they are based” – well said Simon. Substance, certainly, and plenty of it.

Only a fool would fail to consider a possibility of conspiracy. Only a corrupt mind would, having considered the possibility, refuse to admit it.

  8. All predicted … inevitable.

  9. SA is just another tabloid (as it has been for some time) spouting hysterical rhetoric. When a group like the UN or governments from powerful nations talk about this kind of crap, then you worry.

    • Baldrick says:

Well, we already have an unelected world body telling us what to do … it’s called the United Nations.

  10. No longer a theory. A probability now and fast moving to a certainty if people don’t wake up.

Only the bloody naive don’t know this already.

Seems the despots are becoming more and more confident in proclaiming their true motives.

Scientific American’s despicable for it highly politicied travesty of science. They’ve ben at it for years. They’re not even suitable as a$$wiping paper (too rough). It’s been years I don’t even bother with them.

  13. The narrowly averted global coup in 2009, using climate change as an excuse, is explained here:

    The danger is still present.

“The real issue here is a grab for absolute power by those who already govern. They have grown tired of democracy and would like to do away with it, without ever giving the game away by actually saying so. This is the age-old divide between the totalitarians and libertarians. Coalitions like the current regulating class have always been instinctively totalitarian, desirous of interfering in every tiny detail of our lives—for our own good of course, and prodigiously at our expense. They are now even telling us what kind of light-bulbs we can use. With the rise of democracy, it looked like the regulating class would be subject to the will of the people. The US Constitution explicitly defines the obligations of government to the people, and not of people to the government. However, liberty, democracy, and the free market are now again at grave risk, and “global warming” is the Trojan Horse the regulating class are hoping to ride to victory over the people.”

All this looks about right except for one small thing.
I can’t see how it will work if the Chinese are not in charge.
Then again I can’t see how it will work if the Russians are not in charge.
Or if the Indians are not in charge.
On the other hand the US probably won’t mind if the Chinese are in charge.
Yea sure thats why they are stationing 6000 troops in Darwin.
So maybe this has got as much chance of getting up as climate change.

  15. David how right you are!
“They are now even telling us what kind of light-bulbs we can use”
I am currently building my own home at Lake Macquarie and I’m astounded at the imposed regulations on what I cannot do. Everything from light bulbs to no retaining walls allowed to the colours I can paint my house are all heavily regulated. What I am allowed to do is….well come to think of it, is very little indeed. I always laugh when I hear the phrase used “we live in the lucky country”. People say to me it could be worse, I say to them but it could be much better too.

It is very interesting that I went to VideoEasy one day and found a new release called “Global Warming The Great Swindle” so I hired it took it home and watched it, then I went back to VideoEasy to see if I could purcase a copy, they said no problem, then we found out that it was no longer available (I wonder why) so I took it home and found another version of the DVD, even the truth will be reveiled, if anyone wants a copy it’s a double layer just cover the cost of disc, the government don’t want to know about it yeh right.
