Wong pounces on Turnbull's comments

Traitor to the Coalition

Could this guy be any more of a quisling treacherous rat? Inevitably, after his criticisms of the Abbott climate policy (see earlier story), Labor has pounced, damaging Abbott and the Coalition in the process:

Finance Minister Penny Wong said Mr Turnbull was one of the few people in opposition truly committed to tackling global warming.

“What we saw last night is Malcolm really telling the truth about what the Liberal policy is,” she told Sky News.

“It’s very expensive and … it’s a con because those on his side of politics who we know really don’t want to do anything on this issue are able to roll it back and switch it off whenever they want.” (source)

Bravo Malc. Well done. Now, what else can you do to damage your own party? Just pack your bags and go and join Labor. Idiot.

After his comments re climate policy on the ABC, Mr Turncoat must be immediately thrown out of his portfolio and sent to the far back benches.

The Liberal party must also make sure that he is NEVER again elected as a member of the Liberal Party. Disenfranchise him at the next election. !!!

Mr Abbott MUST come down with studded boots on this deceit, which is just as bad as Juliar’s deceit.

  2. Sacking Turnbull might look a bit like sweeping the dirt under the carpet. They’ll need to back it up with convincing arguments as to why he (and Labor) are wrong.

  3. If he ever had a chance of again leading the coalition he has now blown it.
His choices now must be not to stand for Wentworth at the next election or stand for a safe Labor seat.

  4. Hi Simon. Just wondering if you are aware of this:
    http://hotair.com/archives/2011/05/15/former-alarmist-scientist-says-anthropogenic-global-warming-agw-based-on-false-science/
Not quite on topic but certainly on theme.

    • Thanks, Ken, but I disagree. Evan’s excellent article is on topic. CO2-phobia group think and the associated gravy train are what drive alarmist numbskulls. Evans says

The whole idea that carbon dioxide is the main cause of the recent global warming is based on a guess that was proved false by empirical evidence during the 1990s.

But the gravy train was too big, with too many jobs, industries, trading profits, political careers, and the possibility of world government and total control riding on the outcome.

So rather than admit they were wrong, the governments, and their tame climate scientists, now outrageously maintain the fiction that carbon dioxide is a dangerous pollutant.

A pox on the whole rotten lot of them!

  5. Anyone got a link to Malcolms personal site or email address?

Time for a campaign to remind him on the newspoll figures that show what percentage of Liberal/National voters don’t want a carbon tax. Either represent your supporters views or no longer be supported.

  6. Sean McHugh says:

I wonder if Turnbull is too stupid to realise that practically all his cheersquad comprises of loyal Labor/Green voters.

I would suggest that the next carbon-tax protest rally be held in his electoate, preferably outside his electoral office.

  7. Graham Richards says:

Backbenches!! Tooo godd for him. I would not have him even cleaning the toilets.

  8. fred nerk says:

Why do Australians keep voting for lunatics like Turnbull, Wong,Dillard,Combet et,al Not one of them knows or cares what we think or want.Any sane person knows that the building blocks of all life on Earth(carbon) and Co2 are not polutants without them there would be no life.Legislate against life and put a tax on life, put a price on life ,how brain dead is that.Computer models are not science they are guesswork by people(scientists) who are tooI lazy to do any real research.I learnt in Highschool 45 years ago how the Carbon Cycle works it has not changed.

  9. On many occasions Turnbull was found wanting as Water Minister just as much as Opposition Leader. I personally think it requires peoples memory to be prompted, he is not the “be all and end all” in politics, far from it.
There are things like the $millions paid to the cloud seeding company ending in a complete debarkle and of course “Ute Gate” was poised to destroy him, if Rudd had more aggression he could have forced Turnbulls resignation!

Apart from that Labor are the greatest hypocrites on this earth guilty of reckoning Turnbull is great now but the comments while he was oppostion leader were the exact opposite. They would all be on record and suitable for a run showing their hypocricy.

  10. Can we please trade our Turnbull for a UK one?

It is regrettable that the UK Parliament has proved so trusting and uncritical of the IPCC narrative, and so reluctant to question the economic costs being imposed in pursuit of decarbonisation… I am also disappointed that so many of my former colleagues in the Civil Service seem so ready to go along unquestioningly with the consensus.

  11. fred nerk says:

    no censorship here

    • No there isn’t, just other things that sometimes take my attention away from 24/7 moderating! 😉

  12. Aabotts real problem is that so many of his party are fooled by the whole AGW theory. Plimer has it right we should look at the geological history. Look at this http://www.biocab.org/carbon_dioxide_geological_timescale.html and consider what it means. There is no correlation between temperature and CO2 much larger forces are at work. The earth is near it’s lowest temperature and lowest C02 and we should be very gratefull for any reprieve from the cold and low CO2 levels. Unfortunately Turnbull and so many others are ignorant and believe CO2 is a polutant and warmth the enemy. They are civilisations friend and the Greens are the true enemy of civilisation.
