Lecturing the little people
I love the smell of hypocrisy in the morning.
Here we have the familiar, nauseating sight of the rich and privileged lecturing the little people on how to behave:
Whatever her youthful reputation as the wife of a world-famous rock star and glittery jet setter, Bianca Jagger has committed much of the past 30 years of her life to advancing causes associated with human rights and environmental protection in the developing world.
On Sunday morning, during a side event connected with the annual UN climate negotiations here in Lima, Peru, the 69-year-old Jagger sounded every bit the international diplomat she’s become in recent years. Delivering an impassioned 13-minute talk during a panel discussion, she spoke bluntly about the perils of climate change and the need to restore both destroyed and degraded forests as the best strategy to reduce the ongoing damage.
“Climate change will affect everyone, everywhere, in every nation, in every echelon of society, in the developing world and the developed world,” Jagger said. “We will all suffer the catastrophic consequences of rising sea levels, ocean acidification, food scarcity and political unrest. But some of the most vulnerable communities in the world are bearing a disproportionate burden of the harm without having significantly contributed to the cost. This is a terrible injustice.”
Noting that climate experts predict that 2014 will become the hottest year on record, Jagger warned: “Time is running out. Inaction will lead to severe and irreversible damage.” (source)
Next up, Leo di Caprio, leading a conga-line of Hollywood A-listers who travel everywhere on private jets and consume enough electricity to power a small African republic, but expect everyone else to sacrifice their already inferior quality of life to ‘save the planet’.

These morons mostly come from rich and semi rich families, they have no idea how the poor live, how hard it is to just eat and stay warm, I like Cate Blanchett but with 70 million in the bank then she has no right to lecture anyone and Bianca is the same, these persons spend millions, spend money on whatever air travel they want, they create more carbon than anyone so if they were to be taken seriously then they should be staying at home and joining these conferences via Tele link, Al Gore has made millions out of this climate change lie as has David Suzuki, as well as Tim Flannery, these persons are in it for the money, for the rich to lecture the poor about ‘carbon emissions’ is nothing other than pure Hypocrisy, they should make less carbon themselves. Suzuki talks about ‘using less of the Earths resources and we all need to live more frugally, anyone seen all the houses he owns and his main house, its a monster, a real carbon high use home, these persons are all fake, insincere, Hypocrites How much carbon does Al Gore make each year, anyone ever hear him fess up about that? How much carbon does Bianca create each year? Lets hear her tell us why she does that considering how close she considers that we are all to the end of mankind. N

If they..including Gore..DeCrapio…Obama…Kerry…and all those people who tell us to go back to the stone age..are so sure of AGW….why dont they ever have a debate Dr. SPENCER..LORD Monkton..Dr. Fred Singer..or the rest ? They do not because they do not believe in it themselves.
“Restore destroyed degraded forests.” A worthy and smart move. But they also demand we reduce the level of CO2 in the atmosphere. A vital trace element that these same forests need to thrive. Do these fools realise that if CO2 drops below 150ppm, there will be no forests, no vegetation of any kind? It would be like go build a aquarium to save endangered fish species, BUT your not allowed to put any water in it.
Bianca Jagger, Barbara Streisand, Leo di Caprio and Progressive lobbyists continue to advocate that Global Warming and CO2 are the bane of our existence – that controlling CO2 requires extraordinary and onerous regulatory mandates from the EPA. Millions of dollars in funding (10x more $$$ than any funding provided by Oil Companies) continues to be raised through organizations like the Tides Foundation, AFSCME and Teachers Unions, Think Progress, Media Matters, the AFL-CIO, George Soros and the Steyer Brothers in order to mitigate the consequences of a compound (CO2) that exists at the very base of the food chain in our Oceans – a compound that is produced almost solely by natural processes (97%) – a compound that contributes to the greening of Planet Earth, even as the “Green Movement” cynically subverts the truth of its influence. The fact remains that without CO2 our Oceans would be lifeless – our atmosphere would be toxic and the Planet would be dead!
Planet Earth has spent 80% of it’s 4.5 Billion years with atmospheric concentrations of CO2 at 4000 ppm or greater – an order of magnitude (10X) greater than current levels of CO2 in our atmosphere… and the Planet survived just fine… all by itself!
For the record, GreenPeace, World Wildlife Foundation and the Sierra Club have their own lobbyists on Working Groups I, II and III of the United Nation’s IPCC – radicals that undermine the objectivity of Climate Science and the Scientific Method; abject partisans who advocate and influence a political body that subverts the truth on Global Warming and CO2’s impact on climate, in favour of a new tax on the very Energy that has made America an economic giant amongst nations.
And Progressives continue to wonder where all of the JOBS have gone!… The JOBS have all gone to Nations who understand that Capital Investment and the JOBS that go with it… are the cornerstone of Economic prosperity – a concept that America’s Progressives don’t seem to understand!
I suppose under the auspices of the United Nations IPCC, we can expect the hype and ramped-up rhetoric to increase – soon to be augmented by the Progressive Carbon Tax, the Fresh Water Tax, the Sunshine Tax and last but not least, the Oxygen Tax!
