Mad bubble
Climate sense as always:
In the 20 years since the scare was launched, global man-made CO2 emissions have risen by 50 per cent. But at the end of 2011, global temperatures measured by Nasa satellites stood barely a tenth of a degree Celsius higher than their average throughout the 32 years since satellite measurements began – far lower than the projected warming. The computer models on which the scare relied have proved so wrong that it is incomprehensible how they were ever taken seriously.
Hardly surprisingly, in 2011 any attempt to get global agreement on drastic meaures to meet this supposed threat finally expired, as the third mammoth UN conference in as many years fizzled out in Durban. There is no chance that China, India, Brazil, Russia or even the US will agree to a replacement for the failed Kyoto Protocol – not when China alone, with its coal-fired power stations, is increasing its CO2 emissions each year by an amount greater than the UK’s entire annual output.
On all sides, mad schemes dreamed up to meet this imaginary crisis are falling apart. The EU’s carbon trading scheme is collapsing, The dream of solar power is disintegrating, as country after country slashes its subsidies, and firms set up to cash in on the bonanza close in droves (5,000 in Germany alone). Evaporating likewise is the fantasy of “carbon capture and storage” – CO2 from power stations being piped away, at vast expense, and buried in holes in the ground.
More and more, this leaves Britain isolated in a mad little bubble of its own, the only country in the world committed by law to the completely unrealisable goal of cutting CO2 emissions by 80 per cent within 40 years. (source)
Add Australia to the mad little bubble as well, with its pointless carbon tax, albeit nowhere near as insane as the UK’s efforts to destroy its economy permanently.
Australian Climate Madness 
Speaking of UK climate madness …“not only does their onshore wind turbines require 100% carbon or nuclear based back-up and in addition to the devastation of the visual environment and the problems of noise and flicker,” but now it’s been revealed that “UK householders paid out £9.9 million in 2011 for operators to disconnect their turbines from the National Grid.”
The UK’s Telegraph also reported that the ‘constraint’ payments also meant “…that some renewable energy companies were paid more to switch off their turbines than they would have received from ordinary operations.”
That’s not a bad green lurk … not only do you get paid when your turbines are in use, but you’ll also get paid if they’re switched off from the grid due to oversupply and all the while being backed up 100% of the time by carbon or nuclear based energy!
‘Tis time to burst those pesky OZ and UK “mad little bubbles” before they cripple their respective economies!
It is a crying shame that none of these politicians in Canberra seem to understand what is happening overseas in terms of the collapse of the solar and wind industry, and all those other costly ineffective green policies. They also seem to be incredibly ignorant about the real world observational data, and studies on climate that have been debunking the IPCC’s mantra. They are obsessed with cutting Co2 emissions at great cost to the economy, for no benefit at all.
It’s bad enough the Gillard green government is unaware of what is happening overseas and still has 110% faith in the IPCC… but it’s an unforgivable disgrace that the opposition politicians continue to believe in this catastrophic man-made global warming con and in the corrupt IPCC.

I reckon they know full well Mervyn. They just choose to ignore any facts that expose their fanatical leftist religious ideology.
What you say is so true, especially about the opposition. It seems that for political reasons they are still afraid to debunk this total climate change madness. If they stood up and debunked the climate change propaganda – which can be done with plenty of credible evidence, I think they would be surprised how much support they would get. It is like they still want to have a bet both ways.

Presentation to the Canadian Senate on Dec 15
It is now looking possible that the entire panic-inducing process of “Climat Warming” was introduced by those who first thought up the carbon trading scheme, with the massive amounts of cash being paid for “Permits” that allow the owner to continue to produce CO2.
But is now clear that this entire affair is, particularly as far as Australia is concerned, nothing but a massive con job. So just how much cash do those who pushed the Australian government into the Carbon Tax intend to make out of it all ? It will be in the billions of dollars, that’s for sure !! And a commission to those in our government who pushed this BS through Parliament ?
Two decades ago, we Americans witnessed subtle but major overtures to push us toward greentopia invisioned since the dawn of the Great Society; wherein the people would submit themselves to authority in the name of whatever the greens championed. We were meant to be controlled by policies and rules that would define who paid and who profited, by force.
Perhaps they’re learning that free people are more belligerent, and FAR more intelligent and challenging, than they anticipated. An honest and robust economy will only abide with free people with their liberties, their properties, and their self-accountability intact. It’s time to end the green fascist charade.

Why did he ignore the natural CO2 in the atmpmosphere when making his point about increases. In the last twenty years, Mauna Loa CO2 has increased from 353 to 392 PPM that’s an increase of only 11%.
And then there’s the temperatures, only 0.11 above the UAH climate average, of course neglecting to tell anybody that the starting point in the series (1979) was -0.28 below the average. Hence the temperature rise is about 0.4 DC.
Climate nonsense as always , how can Brooking be taken seriously when all he does is disinform, the Plimer “syndrome” in all its glory.
